Description

Halifax Golf Club is located at Halifax in West Yorkshire.

Halifax Golf Course was developed in the early 20th century by James Braid, five times Open Champion and Golf Course Architect. This 18 hole golf course at Ogden is as natural as the finest seaside links courses you could name. Every tee, fairway and green is as one with the undulating landscape of this exceptional moorland location. Wildlife is in abundance with deers, foxes, badgers and many species of birds calling it home.

The golf course layout has remained true to its original design with the only alterations being made by Dr Alistair McKenzie in 1912. Dr McKenzie went on to design some of the greatest courses in the world including the Augusta National, home of the US Masters in partnership with the legendary Bobby Jones. Ogden’s design credentials are therefore second to none.
